During your visit to town, we also recommend that you explore our sister property, The Columbia Hotel, which is situated in the historic Enders Building right downtown.
The Enders building, with its "Chicago" style features designed by architect Frank Chamberlain Clark and built in 1910, was the largest mercantile establishment between Portland and Sacramento for many years. During that period, passengers from the then busy train station would come to The Columbia and its many stores to shop for mens and womens fashions, groceries, music, candies, hardware and sporting goods. There was even a restaurant and a 15-cents store.
Today, guests at The Columbia continue to find stores devoted to men's and women's fashions, music, travel accessories, toys, fine gifts and books all within a hundred feet of the hotel's front door.
